Once upon a time, a tear fell from my cheek, and into the ocean. The day that I find that tear, will be the day that I stop loving you.

Not Platinum, but Gold...

Knowing that I have ample time to plan the menial details of Brandon and I's wedding, I would like to share with all of you a bit or two of my plans.

Certainly, today's weddings have become quite high profile, and platinum so-to-speak. The average cost of a wedding now is rising beyond a whopping $25,000! Ugh! I don't mean to sound so disgusted, but then again, maybe I do.

It's not that I would not want a million dollar venue, or a cake adorned with Swarovski crystals and a cocktail hour fit for a king. However, I tend to be more of a person of priority, and find that, spending perhaps 15G of that budget towards new furniture for our home, or even a new home to begin with would be a lot wiser of a decision than that Tiffany inspired monogrammed cake topper.

I could very well save up my hard earned cash and throw a party to rock the world of even newspapers for weeks to come, but, I would rather spend it somewhere that matters. I would rather invest it in Brandon and I, and know that we won't be feeling sick when we realize a year down the road that I spend my life savings on a party.

In all, we must remember what a wedding truly is. It is the binding of two souls into a legal union, one that is engraved for a lifetime into the husband, and the wife. It should be a reminder of love, and of commitment, and of course, it should be a gathering of the families to share, and laugh, and celebrate the joining of their names!

So yes, I am seriously budgeting our wedding. Not because im being cheap (HAHA!) but because Brandon and I will, more importantly, be needing more than just expensive photographs to help us lay the proper foundation for our marriage. :D

Also, thank you to my loving, wonderful fiance for always supporting me in my decisions. :D

I will allways support my Love. :-)
funny thing is.. I agree with alot of it though. :-) Weddings and marriages at that are often thought of wrong these days.
Nothing should change in the relationship the day the paper is signed. .. its just paper!
I love you my Dove.

Yes miamor, it is true. I don't believe that many weddings today are thought of in terms of love anymore. Im not saying that you can't get caught up in the planning, of course all girls do! But, more people today would rather try to impress their guests than work on what is to come! Their marriage!

I can't wait for our special day my love, it is the day that I have been waiting for since I fell for you... :D

Congratualtions to Brandon for his engagement to a delightful and loving young lady! Best wishes and blessings to Victoria for a happy and loving engagement and marriage. Victoria-Rose and I loved reading your blog, seeing the pictures, and seeing how sensible and down to earth you both are. What a pleasure to see you, Victoria, as the beautiful, mature, and loving young woman you have become. Love, Karen and Victoria-Rose Supper
